Gerry is married to Gateway Title President Glenn Macbeth and serves as Treasurer. She handles the company’s bookkeeping and other financial matters on a part-time basis.

A native of Oak Ridge, Tennessee, Gerry attended the Grady School of Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Georgia where she earned a BA degree in Journalism with a major in Advertising. After a brief stint as a copy writer for a Chattanooga advertising agency she made a career change, returning to school at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where she received an MBA with a concentration in accounting. She subsequently obtained her CMA (Certified Management Accountant) and CPA (Certified Public Accountant) designations. Gerry began work in Nashville in 1988 as an accountant for Southwestern/Great American, Inc. She now serves as a Corporate Vice President and member of the Board of Directors, as well as Chief Financial Officer for its subsidiary company Southwestern Investment Group based in Franklin.

Gerry is an active member of St. Mark’s United Methodist Church. She enjoys traveling, particularly to Boston and New York City to visit daughters Erin and Alison.
